 Dr. Karlis Ullis

|
Karlis Ullis M.D., is an
internationally recognized authority on anti-aging medicine
and sports medicine. He is the author of "Age
Right" (Simon & Schuster, 1998), a
ground-breaking book on anti-aging therapy for the consumer.
He first began developing his theories on anti-aging medicine
while at UCLA where he worked with some of the world’s
greatest athletes, including Olympic Gold Medallists Gail
Deevers, Jackie-Joyner Kersee, Mike Powell, and "Flo Jo"
Joyner, among others. When he began applying these advanced
anti-aging techniques to patients in his private practice, the
results were startling: Middle-aged men and women who had
accepted a decline in their health as a "fact-of-life" were
re-vitalized - physically, intellectually and
sexually.

The Four Dimensions of
Aging
In medical terms, "aging" describes a complex
relationship between various systems of the mind and body and the
environment. However, at a measurable point in everyone’s
physiology, the body switches from being essentially anabolic
(replenishing) to catabolic (depleting). At this "critical point,"
middle age begins to accelerate dramatically.
Dr. Ullis is the first
physician to identify the four dimensions of
aging:
Neuro-Endocrine - how hormones
and the nervous systems signals interrelate. Energy
Metabolism - how we obtain and utilize
energy. Bio-Mechanical - how we
move. Lifestyle & Environment - the social
and personal dynamics that govern how we relate to the world.
In order to start an effective
anti-aging program requires a minimum of three to four consultations
to establish the foundation for a personalized anti-aging
program.
